The college has three units of NSS. Fifty students can enrol themselves as NSS volunteers in each unit during their first semester of study.
As the college is a part of society, so, there are some responsibilities towards the society which are carried out through community development and extension activities. Three NSS units headed by Prof. Pallabi Das, Prof. Sankar Deb Mondal and Sri Satyajit Sinha organise several programmes like blood donation, health camp, flood relief, awareness programmes for AIDS, Polio, Hepatitis, Plantation, Special Camps and many others throughout the year.
